So I got the latest copy of TV Guide today. I signed up for a free subscription that should have ended about a year ago and they are still sending me copies. Anyway, the title of this issue is “Sci-Fi’s Returning Favorites” and pictured is one of the main characters from Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Gallactica and Ben Browder (John Crichton from Farscape). In case anyone doesn’t know, I’m like the biggest Farscape fan. I’ve got all the episodes on DVD including the mini-series. I’ve got the figurines and a t-shirt, so I was like freaking out. If you are a Farscape fan, don’t get too excited. To those Stargate SG-1 fans out there, this is probably old news, but it appears that Richard Dean Anderson is leaving Stargate and Ben Browder is going to be the new lead of Stargate SG-1. This is a little bit of a smack in the face, because Stargate basically pushed Farscape off the air (kinda). Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Stargate as well, but given the choice Farscape would win hands down. Well, it is good to see Ben returning to the Sci Fi channel. After watching Ben in Farscape, I believe he is one of the best character actors I’ve seen, especially on TV. As a bonus it appears that Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun) has also signed up for 6 episodes. It will be great to see them back together.
